On December 27, 2011 I went to Massage Envy for a 2 hour massage.I have chronic migraines and upper back and neck pain so what should have been an appt of healing and relaxation was anything but that. The massage therapist at massage envy sexually assaulted me. I have been getting massages for the last 12 years at massage envy, cruise ships, resorts, ect.

therefore this was not something that can be chalked up as a misunderstanding or an overreaction on my part. I'm well aware of what is and isn't an appropriate place to touch or expose. I left the facility in shock, confused, foggy, disgusted, felt dirty, gross and in disbelief.I reported the incident immediatly and filed a report with the General Manger. They did take the therapist off the schedule for 5 days during the holidays but he is now back at work and i am sick about it.When I discovered this *** was back on the schedule at Massage Envy i contacted the General Manager and she informed me that they investigated the incident.

She explained to me that they had to consider the number of massages he has performed, lack of complaints of the same nature, and that he was well liked by the staff. It was difficult for me to report this guy because I knew he was well liked and in such high demand that he is hard to get an appt with. I understand that it is my word against his but reminded her that I have nothing to gain by reporting the incident. i stressed to her that i have been a massage envy member since 2006 and have never felt even slightly uncomfortable with a therapist at their facility or any other massage establishment.

I reminded her that the coach at Penn State was well liked also. Are you kidding me, well liked?!? That's how these guys get away with it for so long. It's called grooming!

I was violated at my 4th appt with him, after he had gained my trust at the prior 3 appts. Bottom line is he broke the law! I have pressed criminal charges against this guy. Whether he is prosecuted or not I want there to be a record of what he did to me.

The next person that has the courage to report him will know that Massage Envy knew that he was a molester and gave him the place, opportunity and provided the victim for his pleasure.

I do not believe that I am his first victim. I may be the first person that exposed him but I will not be the last.

Location: Houston, Texas

What a loud *** , you probably are the worst client ever for a massage place.

Go to the police and find an attorney file a civil suit against therapist and massage envy. Women must stand up and not be treated like ***.

I have had similar experience. Be strong. This is an epidemic.

Tell other people. Stand on the side walk stating you were violated and therapist has not been terminated (or what ever the statutes of your area allows and ask people to boycott that location).

Sadly I lost my case in Arlington VA. Judge felt there wasn't enough evidence against the accused.

I cancelled my membership at Massage Envy, because they keep the guy on, but what choice did they really have. I was given nothing, nor offered any suitable membership option by the company. As the victim, I was made to feel like I was doing something wrong. Sadly the public is still in danger.

My experience changed how I feel about getting massages after many, many years of getting regular massage, with no other issue. I would never have a man do my massage ever again!

I've been reading all these posts and honestly would say that I get for you initially because it seemed that your sole intent was to stop your allegations from occurring again. However I have to say...

Your final statement about massage envy not giving you something or not even compensating you with a membership.... I have to say, you lost credibility with me through that statement. If I was a victim, not only would I be VERY weary of ever getting a massage again, but I would definitely NEVER EVER even remotely consider going back to Massage Envy. So wanting a membership discount at the alleged place seems very odd to me.

And wanting compensation.... That is very opportunist to me. I'm not stating that what you claim didn't happen, but if I was on a jury, that comment alone would have me question your credibility. On another note, it disgusts me when people are wronged and the answer to make them feel better is financial compensation.

If I was a victim, money would be the last thing on my mind.

I would be out for revenge in the form of incarceration, not 'how do I financially benefit from this'. Just my thoughts ...

"If I was a victim", I hope you never are, but can you really expect to know what you'd do if you were? "I would do this, I would act like that", I don't think you can know that, and I hope you never do.

Even if you know yourself so well that you've accurately predicted how you would feel psychologically, emotionally, and physically to being inappropriately touched (and you may very well have, who knows), that doesn't mean OP would feel the same, or I would, or someone else would. No one is the same.

I realize some people out there do like to cry wolf and expect compensation on their word and that hurts people who have actually dealt with something horrible, but just because someone reacts to something a different way than someone else, doesn't mean an incident didn't happen, you know?

You have every right to not believe what OP says (I know you never said you didn't), but think for a moment about what your words could do to them if their story is true.

I realize trying to say stuff like this on the internet isn't going to stop it from happening, but this kind of struck a chord with me.

It sounds like OP took appropriate action to what happened, made a report, and did what they could. I don't think feeling like compensation should be in order is something that takes away credibility.

Especially if you've paid for the service that lead to the incident. That's just my two cents.

I agree. I have been raped and given a disease that cost more than 1k to treat (out of my pocket).

My rapist had served 2x for previous rapes but they didn't charge him. All I want is that others are safe from this serial rapist that Florida seems to care little about.

^^ I agree with the last post the most. If these people were assaulted they would of jumped off of the table screaming and went to the front and asked for a manager and called police.

I continue to see so many posts of people that went through the entire massage and waited til after to try and sue the person. People have no idea what actually happens in these situations, but for a male therapist it's usually the clients provoking the therapist, and seeing how far they can go, and then they feel guilty etc, and don't want to be told on so they complain.

You rarely hear of men complaining cause a female therapist turned them on, or they exposed their *** to a female but felt violated. If anything these places will continue to let *** clients come back because they pay for their services and tip alot.

You have NO CLUE about what a person would do when assaulted by a therapist! How do you know the fear that goes through our heads?

I was assaulted last night and I was afraid to say anything although I've been torturing myself trying to figure out why I didnt... The fact of the matter is that I was scared..

I don't believe this happened. I think too many women want to get a massage, don't know their own bodies and then want to accuse male Therapists of inappropriate touching. I think its sick.

People think that Therapists look at their bodies the same way that men do in a mall. They don't. They see muscles. They see and feel adhesions, contusions, trigger points, etc... They are professionals and in most cases, work on tens of thousands of bodies throughout their career. They trained on multiple body types on hundreds of people while in school.

It is disgusting that both men and women think that Massage Therapists WANT to touch them. They WANT to fix physical ailments and help people feel better, but they generally do not like the human aspect, emotional release, false accusations, unrealistic demands, etc...

Shame on you.

What an *** to have such a hateful "sickened" response to a person's feeling of being violated. Maybe it was an over-reaction, maybe it wasn't, but you certainly weren't there and certainly shouldn't shame a victim, regardless of whether or not you think the complaint is valid.

I bet you also think rape victims who dressed scantily deserved it bc they shouldn't have dressed that way, eh? Shame on YOU!

Per the news accounts of this story the business was actually in Spring, Texas on Rayford Road near Imperial Oaks, which per Google Maps is over 15 miles from the location Ms. Elliott mentioned.

Gotta feel sorry for the trolling attorney's future "victims", since law involves dealing with things like logic and facts.

Maps, cities, and addresses--who's got time for hard subjects like that, when you can troll the internet and chase ambulances?

Hey toecheese - (love the name) I'm not trolling, I just know that this man moved to several ME locations in the Montgomery/Harris County area. They DA has finally pursued criminal charges against him for two of the assaults, at the time I wrote the email, however, they had not.

It takes a lot of courage for someone to speak out about a sexual assault. I want to do the best job for Kelli that I can. I was just looking for some help in doing that. In any event, I have enough to say grace over at my shop without trolling, chasing or even advertising.

My website is it.

I would be happy, however, for you to call or come see me and make your own decision about what kind of lawyer or person I am based upon a little more than a web post. Peace.

I'm sorry that posted anonymously, wasn't my intent. You know who I am.

I am invetigating claims such as this that are similar to my client's (Kellie Armstrong)story. I filed a lawsuit on her behalf against Message Envy in Conroe.

Any chance you would be willing to help us out? If so, please contact me at (936) 441-****.

Thanks! Paula Elliott

I Live in Vienna Virginia and the same thing happened to me. After my forth visit, the owner made a move on me.

I called the police after, and my husband...with sperm still on my face... the police said it would be too difficult to prove and did nothing. This was at a local place here in N.

Virginia, called Northern Virginia Massage (NOVAMassage). There are no laws to protect woman from this.

This is so hilarious! So why did you lay there and let him put sperm on your face?
